University of Miami Experience (UMX100)

Welcome to your first official course as a Miami Hurricane!

This graded online course is located in Canvas, UM’s student learning portal. It includes nine online modules that guide you through the steps to be completed before your arrival to campus.

Topics include everything from how to use CaneLink, the University’s student portal, to how to register for courses. Modules and their recommended due dates are listed below. Modules will be assigned to deposited students beginning in mid-October. If your deposit occurs after mid-October, the modules will be assigned around 3–5 days after your deposit. Make sure to check your UM email for updates.

Transfer students will be assigned a total of 9 modules 3-5 days after their enrollment deposit is received. All Transfer modules are due by January 5.
