University of Miami Experience (UMX100)

Welcome to your first official course as a Miami Hurricane!

This graded online course is located in Blackboard, UM’s student learning portal. It includes ten online modules that guide you through the steps to be completed before your arrival to campus.

Topics include everything from how to use CaneLink, the University’s student portal, to how to register for courses. Modules and their recommended due dates are listed below. Modules will be assigned to deposited students beginning in mid-April. If you deposit after April 10, you’ll get access to the modules about 3–5 days after your deposit is processed. Make sure to check your UM email for updates.

Note: Recommended due dates for the Fall 2026 class will be updated in mid-March.

Transfer students will have all 9 modules assigned to them 3-5 days after their enrollment deposit is received.
